Grounds Development

BSS Forest School - Bespoke Design

A number of schools have benefitted from the experience of the BSS Forest School team when seeking to develop their grounds on-site.  We can help to create natural boundaries, willow structures, provide trees, design ideas and much more.  For more information on bespoke grounds development plans, please get in touch.

City of Trees

We are currently working with the City of Trees charity who offer expert advice on which trees would benefit your site, delivery of the trees, help with planting - along with your children - and a follow-up educational sessionThis complete service - including the trees - is Free of Charge until the end of 2019.

City of Trees are looking for state Primary Schools from across Greater Manchester to get involved with their ‘Trees for Learning’ programme which involves planting trees in school grounds, or in a local green space, as well as delivering outdoor education sessions linking to the national curriculum. We’ll be working with hundreds of schools, aiming to engage thousands of pupils, planting 60,000 trees connecting children to the trees, woods and wildlife on their doorstep. This programme is part of DEFRA’s 1 million trees initiative and will be running until the winter of 2019. If you are interested in getting your school involved in this project, please get in touch with Beth Kelsall – email or 0161 872 1660
