The BSS Forest School team run termly Continuous Professional Development courses tailored towards up-skilling Forest School practitioners.
Held at Alderley Edge, a spectacular National Trust site, delegates attend for a full day to participate in workshops with a lunch cooked over the fire. These days are affordable and fun with an element of flexibility to allow learner-led experimentation around the workshop themes.
CPD days are usually held in the second half of every term. If you have any requests for specific training ideas, please get in touch.
"The last CPD day was fantastic and so helpful - my shelters have been taken to a whole new level after it!! I also made the elderflower fritters which the children absolutely loved. It was also great to talk to other like minded individuals about where they work and the up's and down's of the job - I felt like I had been living in my own little bubble for a while - as the only practitioner in a school you feel cut off sometimes being the only person who does that job and the day totally re-invigorated me, so thanks for that! "
Our next CPD day will be in Summer 2022. Details and booking information will be updated here and via our mailing list in due course.
